Signed lower left, dated on the verso, 1967.
An early work, purchased directly from R.C. by my consignor .. "before he got famous for the fat women" she says! 
The peaks, just 7 miles north of Flagstaff was so named in 1629, by Franciscan Friars who were conducting missionary work with Natives of the area.   This was in honor of Patron Saint Francis of Assisi.
