Quimper Plates, Breton Broderie Design , Choice of the 5 Plates
Priced in Mexican Pesos. Quimper; Breton Broderie emulates the needlework of Brittany, France, with a textured surface of hand-painted dots of color. These plates measure 9- 1/2 inch in diameter and were made at the Grande Maison, the Quimper pottery that used the HB backstamp. Breton Broderie was a 1930's design, only used for a few years before the decline in production during World War II.
These are listed at $1450 each or $7000 for the group of 5. These should be hung on the wall. True treasures from one of Frances most famous pottery studios.
