The Khamseh (Persian: ایلات خمسه) is a tribal confederation in the province of Fars in southwestern Iran. It consists of five tribes, hence its name Khamseh, "the five". The tribes are partly nomadic, Some are Persian speaking Basseri, some are Arabic speaking Arabs, and some are Qashqai Language speaking (Inalu, Baharlu and Nafar). They are sheep breeders, which they herd mounted on camels. The Khamseh tribes were a mixture of Persians, Turks, and Arabs.
The size is 69" by 88" (1.75m by 2.23m). Good condition, even low pile consistent with its' age (over 100 years) . These rugs were never intended to be walked upon with shoes, as we do in the west. All natural dyes. As with all our rugs you will have 7 days to return it in case the wear is more than you can live with, or for whatever reason.

Free delivery around the Lake Chapala area for purchases of $4000 pesos. We accept returns up to 7 days after the sale unless the items are sale priced, sorry, no returns on sale items. We previously delivered to Guadalajara for free but we no longer offer that service.
