These three Mastics are from my personal collection (from our home in Arizona)! A yastik is a small Turkish handwoven rug or cushion cover, with the word meaning "pillow" in Turkish. Historically, yastiks served as decorative cushion fronts for divans or as functional prayer rugs and storage bags for nomadic groups. They are known for their intricate, often regionally specific, designs and are made from materials like wool, silk, and velvet, with designs passed down through generations of weavers.
