She loved color!!
In 1959 she married Mario Aluta and they moved to Mexico where she continued her art studies. Many of her paintings reflected the local culture. Daphne lived in Ajijic, Mexico for more than 30 years. Besides painting she was architecturally inspired by her nearly 20 year marriage to an architect, Frank Greer in Santa Barbara, CA. and designed and built several "islamic inspired" homes in the area. I met her shortly after I arrived here in 1993 and when she left town a few years later she gave me this painting (no one wanted to buy it she told me). Time for me to share it with another collector.
