Siddhi, one of the wives of Ganpati resides to his right and hence, the idol with a trunk curved to the right is called Siddhi Vinayaka. Just as the left sided trunk stands for prosperity, the right sided trunk stands for freedom from all worldly pleasures and the attainment of Moksha.
