Vintage Sergio Bustamante Paper Maché Gazelle, Sermel
Peso Priced Item. SerMel started in 1963 when Melquiades Preciado and Sergio Bustamante created a workshop in Tonala, Mexico dedicated to the production of paper mache crafts. Bustamante later went on to start his own gallery and is today one of Mexico’s most famous artists. Today his vintage works are commanding very high prices and can be seen throughout the world. Sermel is now run by the Preciado family. This measures 10". tall and 9 1/2" long .. In mint condition, hard to believe that this has survived for some 45 years and stayed intact.
