Antique Meshkabad Mahal, Professionally Restored in Iran,

US Dollar Priced Item;     Meshkabad is a finer quality of Mahal rugs, all of which originate in the Arak region of Iran.  Sarouks are also from Arak.  There is varying opinions on the use of the attribution of Meshkabad.  I take my attribution from the Iranian man who sent this rug back to his family's looms in Iran to be restored about 6 years ago.  Check out the very special blue in the field and border.  The elaborate border design.  According to his family, this is a very special carpet from around 1890-1900.  The price has been reduced because the man who had us send it back for restorations is now deceased and this is part of his estate, to be sold off for the benefit of his heirs.  Similar pieces always go for more than $10,000 USD in the US and Europe .. 
  This measures 12' 3" by 9' 2".   Beautiful condition, albiet there are low areas of pile, some re-knotting and the end finishes are replacements.
