Heinrich Goetz Student Violin, 3/4, Chicago ca. 1900
Priced in Mexican Pesos. Heinrich Goetz Student Violin, 3/4, Chicago ca. 1900. It has a nice "ivory" seal on the back with the makers initials HG. A feature of this violin not common for Goetz's works .. could indicate a special order.
Marked with Heinrich's name and the name"Markneukirchen" on the label inside ( a German town famous for their violins). Also says "Antonio Stradivairus" and thousands of copies do. Body measures 13" long, I think that is called a 3/4 violin. Case was made by the St. Louis Music Supply Co. same period as the instrument.
New strings and bow hairs are needed.
