Peso Priced Item. Black Fantasia Tlaquepaque Tourist Pottery, Plate by the Lucano Family - Has several glaze chips, but since the undercolor is black they hardly show unless you're looking for them. 9 1/2" diameter. Encised 'Mexico' mark on the verso.

Donna McMenamin published a great book on Mexican tourist pottery in 1996. That book is titled "Popular Arts of Mexico - 1850 - 1950" In her book she tries to name the different designs by giving them nicknames. She calls these Lucano designs Fantasia".
