Price in US Dollars. Philip Richard Morris was born in 1836 in Devonport, England. By the time he was 14 his family had moved to London where he was first exposed to art at the British Museum. He studied there for a while and ended up at the Royal Academy. He began to paint genre paintings like this one by the late 1860's. This is in original condition, there is crazing (more visible in the photos than in real time) but it is stable, no paint loss nor damage. This measures 38.5" by 55.5" (98 x 148cm). SIgned.
