Pair of Musicians Chairs, Antiques from Guatemala
PRICED IN MEXICAN PESOS.. These are more than 100 years. old and when they were made they were copies of Spanish Colonial furniture from Guatemala. The maker's label is still on the bottom of one .. the maker was: J. Leonardo Gaitán e Hijos, Antigua, Guatemala. I believe these would be used by a bass or viola player. Thus the low seats and the music harp on the back of each chair. They are made of local mahogany, hand woven cane seats. 24" high and 24" across the arms.
