Antique Turkoman Yomut Rug, 4' by 3' 2"

US Dollar Priced Item;    This rug comes from Turkmenistan, a northern neighbor of both Iran and Afghanistan.  Their rugs are sometimes erroneously called Bokharas .. Bukhara is a city in neighboring Uzbekistan .. how one got confused with the other I don't know .. but calling this class of rugs Turkomans is more accurate. They almost always have the 'gul' pattern overall, never medallions or other designs that are common in Persian rugs.  Someone spent some good money restoring this old rug,  if you look over my photos you will notice fine rewoven areas in the area of the fringe.  A great job, not really visible from the top side. This measures 4' by 3' 2".
