19th C. French Litho, "Offerings Made to Alonzo de Molina"
Peso Priced Item.. This 19th C. Hand Colored Lithograph depicts a group of Inca women offering their daughters to the Spanish conquerer Alonzo de Molina in Tumbes, Peru (as imagined in the eyes of the artist) .
Original frame and original wavey glass from the 1800's. Litho is in good condition with only a slight amount of darkening due to it's age. 33" x 27" in the frame.
Bilingual legend below, telling the story of the image in Spanish and French.
Alonso de Molina (?-1531). Spanish military and conqueror, active between 1526-1531, herein Inca mothers offer him young Inca girls.
