* 17th C. Refectory Table, Spanish Walnut, Single Board Top
The real thing!! A Spanish walnut refectory table (one solid board for a top) with mudéjar designs on the drawers. This type of furniture would have been used as ballast for the ships sailing to Nuevo España to bring back gold. This is original in all manners .. it measures 11' 5" long, 28" wide and 29" tall. Imagine the old growth Spanish walnut tree that had to be felled to cut a single board over 11" in length and 28" wide .. A HUGE tree .. From the Count Polignac Estate of Mexico City.
